Wave of Vehicle Burglaries in Titusville Neighborhood

Titusville Police Detectives are asking for the community’s help in solving a string of Vehicle Burglaries in the Hickory Hills neighborhood.

The neighborhood of Hickory Hills, located in south Titusville, has recently become victim to several vehicle burglaries.

Two surveillance videos show what appears to be three juveniles entering two UNLOCKED vehicles and stealing items from them. A third vehicle on surveillance video reveals that the thieves do not enter because it is locked.

Police are urging residents to ALWAYS lock their vehicles, garages, sheds and houses.  A staggering 85% of burglaries are committed upon vehicles that are NOT LOCKED

Titusville Police Chief John Lau expressed that “We could virtually stop all vehicle burglaries if we just took a little more time to make it more difficult for these opportunistic thieves”.

Titusville Police Detectives are asking the public to please look at these videos posted on Titusville Police Official Facebook Page , and if you think you know who this may be, please contact the Titusville Police Department at (321) 264-7800, or can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward by contacting Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
