Thanksgiving Week: Thursday’s pickup for garbage, recycling and yard trash will be on Wednesday. There will be no other changes for the week.

CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

Keynote Speaker At Astronaut Memorial Ceremony-Senator Thad Altman

Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Sand Point Park, Titusville, the Flag and Memorial Committee for the City of Titusville will present their annual Astronaut Memorial.  Florida State Senator Thad Altman will be the keynote speaker.  Senator Altman is the President and CEO of the Astronaut Memorial Foundation located at Kennedy Space Center.  The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Betsy Ross and special music will be provided by the First Presbyterian Church Choir.  Titusville Mayor James H. Tulley, Jr. and Senator Thad Altman together, will present the Memorial Wreath in memory of all the fallen Astronauts.  Friends and family of the Astronauts are always in attendance as they will place flowers on their loved ones plaques, which permanently lay in Sand Point Park below the United States Flag.  It is the mission of the Flag and Memorial Committee that we never allow the Astronauts to be forgotten for their great sacrifice.
 
The community is invited and encouraged to come and pay homage to those who have given their lives in the quest for knowledge through the exploration of space.  There is no charge for this event.  For more information contact:
