Precautionary Boil Water Notice
On Park Avenue from 920 Park Avenue to Barna Avenue,
Including Barna Avenue from Park Avenue to Diane Drive
A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the following streets – Park Avenue from 920 Park Avenue to Barna Avenue, including Barna Avenue from Park Avenue to Diane Lane. This includes all residents of Dolphin Apartments, Park Villas Apartments and Morningside Apartments and 1197 South Park Avenue.
At approximately noon on Monday, December 30th, 2013, a temporary loss of water pressure was experienced in this area due to a water main break. The water main is being repaired and this notice is issued as a precautionary measure only.
Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Allow water to cool prior to drinking. As an alternative bottled water may be used. Your water is safe for bathing, laundering and other non-consumptive uses.
This “precautionary boil water notice” will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe to drink. Notices will be issued to all homes and business owners when the precautionary boil water notice has been rescinded. The notice is anticipated to be rescinded by Thursday, January 2, 2014. However, all water for consumption should continue to be boiled until rescinding notices are received.
If you have any questions about this notice, please contact the Water Resources Field Operations Division at 321-383-5662. After 4 p.m. please contact the Water Production Division at 321-383-5657.
