National Night Out Event Promotes Outreach
Tuesday, August 06, 2013

Titusville Police hosted National Night Out at Target Plaza in Titusville Tuesday night. NNO is a National awareness campaign each year that is designed to promote crime prevention.
Titusville Police had displays of Crime Scene Investigations, ATV’s, K9, Community Watch & Mobile Command unit. Children especially enjoyed the K9 demo and handouts.
The crime prevention handouts and equipment demos are only a small part of this initiative. The relationship building and the communication between our citizens and officers are the true value of this event!
“In my twenty-one year career, I have not seen a more effective tool for community outreach”, said Interim Chief John Lau. “Anytime our officers and citizens are face to face talking and building relationships, we are making leaps and bounds toward a safer community” added Lau.
