Precautionary Boil Water Notice

Rambling Acres Subdivision, Fox Lake Road and
South Carpenter Road (1085 S. Carpenter thru 1800 S. Carpenter) Area

A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued for the following streets: South Carpenter Road (1085 S. Carpenter Road thru 1800 S. Carpenter Road), Fox Lake Road, Rambling Acres Drive, Tranquility Lane, Talon Court, Buteo Place, Thal Road, Eagle’s Place, Goshawk Place, Mallard Court and Swallow Way.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, temporary loss of water pressure was experienced in this area due to a water main break. The water main has been repaired and this notice is issued as a precautionary measure only.

Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. Allow water to cool prior to drinking. As an alternative bottled water may be used.

The water is safe for bathing, laundering, and other non-consumptive uses.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe to drink. Notices will be issued to all homeowners when the Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been rescinded. The Notice is anticipated to be rescinded by Friday, March 22, 2013. However, all water for consumption should continue to be boiled until rescinding notices are received.

If you have any questions about this notice, please contact the Water Resources Field Operations Division at 383-5662. After 4 p.m., please contact the Water Production Division at 383-5657.
