WHAT: Vehicle Burglar Arrested

WHERE: 1738 N. Singleton Ave.

WHEN: Occurred Saturday April 22, 2006 (10:40 P.M.)

WHO: Arrested: Robert Pilling (10-25-87)

NARRATIVE:  Vehicle burglar arrested after being caught on camera

The Titusville Police Department took a report of a vehicle burglary early Sunday morning, from 1738 N. Singleton Ave from the victim Alvin Hogg. Hogg who was a victim of a past vehicle burglary, became creative and placed a motion sensitive camera in a nearby tree, in hopes of capturing a picture of the person(s) responsible for breaking into his vehicle. The camera was able to capture several good images of a young white male opening the passenger door of his vehicle.

Titusville Investigators were able to identify the suspect from the camera images. The suspect identified as Robert Pilling (10-25-87) was contacted an instructed to turn himself in at the Police Department.

Pilling is currently being charges with one count of Burglary to a Convenience. Pilling will be placed in the Brevard Count Jail.
