Final preparations are underway for The Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum’s annual open house Memorial Day Weekend, May 26th
and 28th, 2012.
There will be free admission to the museum for all military, active or retired. Additionally, ALL Florida residents will be admitted free. ID is required.
In addition to the vintage aircraft and memorabilia that will be on display, there will be several fly-bys throughout the weekend. Special veteran guests, that flew many of the aircraft, will be on hand answering questions and telling of their exploits flying legendary warbirds. Along with food and entertainment, there will be an antique car showing and airplane modeler exhibit. “The Beach,” 98.5 and their Tiki hut remote will be at the hangar on Saturday. Florida Bi-planes will have their Waco bi-plane available for rides. Also, the famous Jungle Adventures park will have a critter table” for the kids to learn more about what they offer and see some of their fascinating animals -- come and pet an alligator! Finally, the museum will be raffling off a 1975 Chevrolet Caprice convertible for only $5 a ticket.
The museum is located at 6600 Tico Road at the Space Coast Regional Airport. Open house hours will be 9AM-5PM, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Our phone number is 321-268-1941.
