Serve on the City’s local Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC)

CITY OF TITUSVILLE PUBLIC NOTICE
THE CITY OF TITUSVILLE is seeking local citizens to serve on the City’s local Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) for the purpose of reviewing local policies, ordinances, land development regulations, and procedures that affect affordable housing projects and make recommendations for incentive strategies thereto.
 
It is intended that members of the AHAC will be persons of knowledge, experience, judgment and background, and have personal or professional interest or experience in affordable housing.  They will have the ability and desire to act in the public interest and represent, insofar as possible, the various special personal and professional interests required to make informed and equitable decisions concerning the provisions of housing which is affordable for all economic segments of the community.
 
The AHAC shall consist of 11 members and must include the following members:
  1. One local citizen who is actively engaged in the residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing;
  2. One local citizen who actively engaged in the banking or mortgage banking industry in connection with affordable housing;
  3. One local citizen who is a representative of those areas of labor actively engaged in home building in connection with affordable housing;
  4. One local citizen who is actively engaged as an advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing;
  5. One local citizen who is actively engaged as a for-profit provider of affordable housing;
  6. One local citizen who is actively engaged as a not-for-profit provider of affordable housing;
  7. One local citizen who is actively engaged as a real estate professional in connection with affordable housing;
  8. One local citizen who is actively serves on the local planning agency pursuant to s. 163.3174;
  9. One local citizen who resides within the jurisdiction of the local governing body making the appointments;
  10. One local citizen who represents employers within the jurisdiction;
  11. One local citizen who represents essential services personnel.
 
The City is seeking to fill the following vacancies for FY 2011/2012:
  1. One local citizen who is actively engaged as an advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing;
  2. One local citizen who is actively engaged as a for-profit provider of affordable housing;
  3. One local citizen who actively serves on the local planning agency pursuant to s. 163.3174; and
  4. One local citizen who represents essential services personnel.
