FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS' DAY

OCTOBER 3, 2010

On October 1, 2010 Mayor James H. Tulley, Jr. issued an Official Proclamation, proclaiming Sunday, October 3, 2010 as Fallen Fire Fighters Day in the City of Titusville.  He urged all citizens to recognize the important and vital service fire fighters provide to them in their daily lives.

"In 2009, 82 fire fighters across our nation died in the line of duty while protecting the lives and property of our citizens" said Titusville's Fire Chief Chuck Bogle.  "At nine o'clock this Sunday morning, please pause for a few moments of silence and reflection as we recognize their loss and the sacrifices they and their families suffered to protect you."
