Titusville Police began an ATV unit in 2006 to patrol the City’s bike trail and other off-road areas. The graphics and design were customized by Titusville Police. The ATV unit consists of two Suzuki Eiger 400’s, and one 2009 Yamaha Rhino, which is a two passenger ATV. The ATVs are fully equipped with flashing lights, siren, and first aid equipment.

Since its inception in 2006, officers have made numerous felony arrests in off-road areas including wanted subjects, persons with concealed firearms, and auto theft suspects.

All three ATVs were purchased using forfeiture funds- money seized from criminals. Officers assigned to ATV patrol undergo special training on the operation of ATVs.
