Suspect Arrested in Shooting Homicide

(TITUSVILLE, FL)-- A suspect has been arrested after a violent shooting that resulted in the death of a Titusville man on May 29th.

At about 3AM on May 29th, Titusville officers responded to a shooting call in the area of South St. and Grannis Ave. Cedric Walker was suffering gunshot wounds and was transported to Parrish Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

 

The investigation reveals that the suspect arrested, ALTONIO BERNARD GREEN, was driving a Black Dodge Charger with another suspect in the car. At some point, the other suspect opened fire on the victim at South St. and Grannis Ave with a high-powered rifle. As the suspect vehicle fled, the driver lost control and struck a light pole at South St. and Wager Ave. Both ALTONIO GREEN and the other suspect fled on foot.

 

A short time later, Titusville Police served a search warrant at the suspect vehicle’s registered owner’s residence at 901 WC Stafford St. ALTONIO GREEN was taken into custody- booking photo attached.

 

It is not known at this time what lead to the shooting. Several witnesses have come forward and Detectives continue to investigate. Titusville Police have leads and are searching for the second suspect –name is not being released at this time. The weapon used in the crime has not been recovered yet.
