Arrest in Church Burglary

On Friday February 5th 2010 a witness came forward and provided Titusville Detectives with information regarding the burglary at Westside Baptist Church that occurred on December 29th 2009.


The witness told police that Joshua E Miller DOB 05-18-1991 broke into the church and stole a music playing device.


On Sunday, February 7, 2009 at approximately 1700 hours Officers of the Titusville Police Department found Joshua E Miller. Miller eventually told officers that he had information regarding the theft of firearms. Detectives were notified and a more in depth interview was conducted with Miller. Miller confessed to stealing two firearms from a residence in the city of Titusville on January 19th 2010.


Miller confessed to breaking into Westside Baptist Church in December 2009. Miller said he broke the windows to steal an IPOD. Miller also told detectives that he had an accomplice, however he would not provide his/her name. Detectives are attempting to identify the second suspect. Miller denied any involvement with other area church burglaries. Miller was transported to the Brevard County Detention Center on a $17,500.00 dollar bond. Charges have not been filed on Miller for the theft of firearms at this time.
