Volunteer Honored for over 15 Years of Service
Thursday, August 13, 2009

Our longtime “In-House” Volunteer Tom Bigelow was honored on August 13th 2009 for his lengthy years of volunteer service to the City of Titusville Police Department –especially our Crime Scene Investigations Section. Tom has volunteered with our CSI for 15 years.

His supervisor, CSI Manger Ron Larson said: “A former NASA Engineer, Tom brought to this office his impeccable attention to detail and his dogged determination to finish whatever task was assigned to him in a timely, competent fashion. He started out logging and copying audio tapes and filing ten print cards; with the advent of the In-Car VHS Video Tape System, he stepped forward and began logging and copying those items. Then came the Kustom Hard Drive In Car System followed by the ICOP Hard Drive In Car System.  Tom stepped up and he managed those systems as well.  His contribution was invaluable".

Tom's estimated 17,000 man hours over his 15 years in CSI converts to over 425 weeks, or 8 ½ years of volunteer service.

Tom was honored with a plaque at the Staff Meeting and a variety of gifts as small tokens of appreciation for his years of volunteer service.
