TPD hosted our Annual Meet & Greet Breakfast with the our area school principals on Friday, September 19th. School administrators are treated to a catered breakfast at TPD Headquarters shortly after the school year starts each year.
In an effort to maintain a strong relationship with our school system, and share valuable information between the school system and public safety, school administrators from both public and private schools are invited to attend the annual event. The breakfast is an opportunity for TPD command staff and School Principals to share valuable information.
“We’re committed to maintaning a strong, positive relationship with our school system”, said Chief Anthony C. Bollinger, “This event is important to us because we have a common goal, keeping our kids safe” Bollinger added.
Security at our schools and the safety of students was one of the main topics of discussion. Both TPD staff and school principals agreed that although we currently enjoy safe environments in our schools, prevention and preparedness is the key to continued success. Working together closely will go a long way to help in that initiative.
TPD plans to continue to host this event annually, near the start of each school year.
