Thanksgiving Week: Thursday’s pickup for garbage, recycling and yard trash will be on Wednesday. There will be no other changes for the week.

CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

TPD Officers recognized by SOAR Program

Larry Holder, Bullard Regional Sales Manager, recognized the TPD officers who used a Bullard TacSight Thermal Imager on February 13, 2008, to detect and apprehend two suspects in the commission of a felony and criminal mischief.

The SOAR Program (Save Our Apprehension Recognition) is a reward and recognition program that recognizes the effective use of thermal imaging technology by law enforcement officers who have used it to apprehend a convicted felon or suspect in the commission of a felony or to save the life of a civilian or fellow officer.

The Titusville Police Department is the FIRST department in Florida to be recognized and the FOURTH in the United States!
