Community member finalists for the 2008 Titusville Community Service Award included: Patricia Mackey, Dorothy Morgan, Robert Osborne, Mariel Sisson and Donald P. Smith.

As stated by Community Service Award Select Committee Chairman Charles Mars, "There are countless examples in our community of individuals whose words and actions exemplify the spirit of service in our community for which this award was created.  Each finalist has displayed generosity, emphathy and personal sacrifice that has benefitted and advanced the welfare of our community, helping to make Titusville such a great place to live.  Regardless of the selection, each of the citizens who were nominated are winners in our eyes."

Chairman Mars continued, "The Committee members had a great deal of difficulty in choosing among such highly qualified nominees, so a decision was made to honor two individuals this year.  The Titusville Community Service Award Committee is pleased to announce its Community Service Award Selection for 2008: Donald P. Smith and Patricia Mackey.  We thank each of you for the time and energy you have devoted towards helping Titusville's citizens and improving our community."
