Thanksgiving Week: Thursday’s pickup for garbage, recycling and yard trash will be on Wednesday. There will be no other changes for the week.

CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

Celebrate Flag Day on June 14th!

CELEBRATE FLAG DAY!

Saturday, June 14, 6 p.m. Titusville High School Performing Arts Building

Community members, this is your opportunity to celebrate patriotism, to fly the American Flag, to wear your red, white and blue and attend our annual Flag Day Ceremony in honor of our American Flag!

Music, Betsy Ross, color guard units, and historical information honoring our nation's most visibly recognized and revered icon are all part of the program.  Get into the patriotic spirit! Join with your friends and neighbors on Saturday, June 14, 6 .m. at Titusville High School's Performing Arts Building, 150 Terrier Trail in Titusville and salute the Flag of the United States of America!

 

 Background Information on National Flag Day

Flag Day is celebrated on June 14.  It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.  In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August of 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.
