American Legion Post #1, supported by Titusville's Flag and Memorial Committee, invites all community members to attend Titusville's annual Memorial Day Celebration on Monday, May 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Veteran's Park, Broad Street in Titusville.  Many of our community's civic and fraternal organizations will be participating with their Color Guard units and the laying of memorial wreaths, along with local dignitaries and officials.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday, formerly known as Decoration Day . This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who have died in military service to their country.  It began first to honor Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War.  At the end of this year's ceremony, the Veteran's Memorial Foundation will be dedicating a new plaque in the Veteran's Park recognizing the contributions and sacrifices made by the members of our armed forces during our history.

Please join us in remembering those that gave their lives, past and present, for their country.
