Students Assist Titusville Fire Department
Monday, August 20, 2007

Interim Fire Chief Scott Gaenicke and Logistics Coordinator Frank Canada played dual roles as fire officials and fathers last Thursday when they stood proudly with summer volunteer youths Trevor Canada and Sierra Gaenicke.  Trevor and Sierra were presented with letters of recognition and certificates of appreciation from Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department for their contribution of volunteer hours over the summer.  Frank Canada relayed that Trevor had assisted him with several large-scale logistical projects, including the cleaning, maintenance and inventory of the firefighters' protective equipment and radios.  Interim Administration Chief Ken Gaines noted that Sierra's assistance was greatly appreciated when they were assembling property data.  She retrieved and reformatted raw information of over 19,000 properties into a format conducive and vital to the completion of their project.
