TPD kicks off new Community Presentation
Friday, June 15, 2007

The Titusville Police Department hosted it's first "Bi-Annual Community Presentations" on Thursday, June 14th from 7pm until 9pm. Just over 40 people attended our presentation, which was given in our training room at police headquarters, 1100 John Glenn Blvd. Our staff identified leaders in our community and invited them to attend the first presentation of this type for TPD. Attendees included a diverse group of business owners, managers, and several homeowner's association members.

The presentation began with an introduction from Chief Tony Bollinger detailing this new idea and the great things that will be accomplished from it. "Promoting teamwork within our community to solve problems" is not just our mission statement, it's the heartbeat of our philosophy" said Chief Bollinger. "Getting information out to our community and obtaining feedback from them is the key to our success! What better way to reach as many people as possible than through the leaders in our community?" added Chief Bollinger.

The presentation included a ten minute powerpoint presentation on each major division and section in our department, followed by a brief question and answer period. These included: the Administration and Support Services Division, the Special Services section, the Investigations Division, and our North and South Sectors. Chief Bollinger and the entire command staff teamed up to answer any questions attendees had at the end of the presentation.

We plan to continue this presentation on a bi-annual basis. We are committed to using a variety of avenues to maintain a high level of communication with our residents and business owners in Titusville
