Flag Day Ceremony/Community Service Award Announcment

City of Titusville - PRESS RELEASE
 
 
The Titusville Flag and Memorial Committee is sponsoring a Flag Day Ceremony on Thursday, June 14th, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Brevard Community College Gymnatorium, 1311 North U. S. Highway One. This annual ceremony recognizes our community’s patriotic heritage by honoring the American Flag. The program will include and the massing of colors and musical entertainment. This year, the keynote speaker will be County Court Judge A B Majeed who will reflect on Americanism.
 
Also, this year’s Select Committee will announce the 2007 Titusville Community Service Award. All of the 11 nominees have been invited to attend the ceremony where they will be recognized for their spirit of community service and their dedication to our community. This Award is in honor of Reverend Harry R. Lee who served his community as the City’s Chaplain and Employee Assistance Advisor, the Chaplain of the Sertoma Club and of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce. By his spirit, words, and actions he personified the concept of unity and the spirit of service within the community. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
