If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department announces appointments in wake of opening left by resignation of Fire Chief Richard Talbert.

Long-time Fire Chief Rick Talbert left the employ of Titusville Fire and Emergency Services April 25 to assume the position of South Walton Fire District's Fire Chief and Administrator.  Titusville's Interim City Manager Mark Ryan appointed Fire Administration Chief Scott Gaenicke to assume the role of Interim Fire Chief, effective April 26.  He also announced, since the Mayor and City Council will be finalizing Titusville's City Manager selection shortly, the determination of Titusville Fire and Emergency Services permanent fire chief will be the responsibility of Titusville's new City Manager.

Interim Fire Chief Gaenicke announced April 27, "Effective immediately, Fire Marshal Ken Gaines is reassigned as the Interim Division Chief of Administration.  This position change will allow our department to continue moving forward with our budgetary and prevention projects."
