Arrest Made in Robbery and Battery of Elderly Woman

Immediate response to a report of a strong armed robbery and battery of a local elderly woman in the parking area of the Winn Dixie grocery store located at 1564 Harrison Street led Titusville Police to quickly locate and arrest the suspect.
Christopher Lynn Braun, 25, of Titusville, was arrested on Saturday, November 25th 2017 at 9:06 AM, and charged with Aggravated Battery Against a Person over 65, Robbery by Sudden Snatching, Violation of Felony Probation, Destruction of Evidence, Petty Theft, and Driving While License Suspended Without Knowledge.
The preliminary investigation revealed that on Saturday November 25th 2017 at approximately 9:00 AM, the male suspect approached the victim in the parking area, forcefully took the victim’s purse and then fled the scene in a vehicle.
Within minutes, police located the suspect traveling eastbound on Cheney Highway. Police conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Braun is being held at the Brevard County Jail.
