TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, GROUPS, AND ORGANIZATIONS:
For FY 18/19, the City of Titusville Neighborhood Services Department anticipates receiving approximately $276,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). There is a limit of up to 15% of the CDBG funds (or a maximum of approximately $41,400.00) that can be used for public service projects/programs.
If you have a public service program that is eligible under HUD regulations for funding through CDBG you may submit a Request for Proposal packet to the Neighborhood Services Department no later than 12:00 noon, on Monday, December 11, 2017.
A Technical Assistance Workshop will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Harry T. Moore Social Service Center, 725 S. De Leon Ave. This Workshop will be conducted by the Neighborhood Services Department staff and will provide assistance with the information required in the request for CDBG funds application. This is neither a mandatory workshop nor a requirement for funding.
A public hearing will be scheduled in January 2018, for you to attend and express the needs for your program; each agency will be able to give a five-minute presentation before City Council. The public hearing will be a special meeting of the City Council to be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 2nd Floor, 555 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville; all agencies are strongly encouraged to attend. A second public hearing will held in April 2018 to identify the proposed action plan on the use of CDBG funds. If you or your organization wishes to make any comments regarding the CDBG program, please attend the public hearings identified.
All applications are to be submitted to the City of Titusville Neighborhood Services Department via mail or hand delivery to City of Titusville, Neighborhood Services Department, Harry T. Moore Social Service Center, 725 S. De Leon Avenue Titusville, FL 32780 or PO Box 2806, Titusville, FL 32781. Applications are due on or before Monday, December 11, 2017 at 12 noon.
