Titusville Police Chief Anthony C. Bollinger joined Brevard County Sheriff Jack Parker to speak to a large group of seniors about fraud’s and scams, identity theft and other important issues seniors face today.

The afternoon event, held at Temple Baptist Church, North Washington Ave Titusville, was hosted by PREVENT of Brevard, a non-profit group that provides services to seniors. Prevent of Brevard is made of a partnership between law enforcement, the State Attorney’s Office, and services for seniors.

Both the Sheriff and Chief Bollinger gave presentations to the group

which provided detailed information on how seniors could help avoid becoming a victim of a scam or identity theft.

About 200 seniors from the north Brevard area attended.

“We have found that seniors in our community tend to be a target of scam artists” said Chief Anthony C. Bollinger. “With all of us working together on this we can help put these criminals out of business!” Bollinger added.
