Titusville Woman Dies in SR405 Crash

One woman was killed, and two others seriously injured in a traffic crash in front of Target Plaza on S.R. 405 in Titusville just after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 19th.

Eastbound S.R. 405 (Columbia Boulevard) remained shut down for several hours as emergency workers and investigators worked the scene of the two-vehicle crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Taurus, being driven by Erica Ann Arieux,, 31 of Titusville, was heading east on SR 405 at the traffic light entrance to the Target Plaza, 3055 Columbia Boulevard. A Nissan Altima, being driven by Julia Elizabeth Devine, 23, of Titusville, made a left turn into the Target Plaza, and was struck by the Ford Taurus.

A passenger in the Altima, Beatrice Todtenhagen, 75, of Titusville, died at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were seriously injured.

The crash remains under investigation by traffic homicide officers.
