Arrest Made In Searstown Mall Bomb Threat

Titusville Police Detectives arrested a suspect in connection with the Searstown Mall bomb threat that occurred on Friday evening July 28th 2017.
Joshua Robert Estelle, 17, of Titusville, was arrested on Wednesday, August 2nd 2017 and charged with two felonies; False Report Concerning Planting a Bomb and Violation of Juvenile Probation
The investigation revealed that the suspect called police on the non-emergency phone line at approximately 10:15 PM and reported that a bomb had been planted at 3550 South Washington Avenue, Sears Town Mall.
Police responded, secured the scene and evacuated approximately 120 movie patrons and movie theater staff, as well as, customers and staff at Valentino’s Italian Restaurant.
The building was thoroughly searched and concluded with negative results for any explosive device. The scene was cleared at approximately 11:50 PM
Detectives followed investigative leads which resulted in evidence linking the suspect to the bomb threat.
Estelle was arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
