Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) – Six Regular Members
The Committee will review local policies, ordinances, land development regulations, and procedures that affect affordable housing projects and make recommendations. It is intended that members of the committee will be persons of knowledge, experience, judgment and background, and have personal or professional interests or experience in affordable housing. Please note: There is specific criteria for appointed members.
Board of Adjustments and Appeals - One Regular Member
This five regular and two alternate member board is appointed by the City Council and composed of a general contractor, an architect, engineer or planner, and two members selected from the public at large. The alternate members serve from the public at large. This board hears requests for variances from the City Code (e.g. building setbacks) and appeals from decisions of the building official. It meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber, 555 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL.
Historic Preservation Board – One Alternate Member
This board consists of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members and whenever possible shall include a local historic and/or architectural or art historian, architect, urban and regional planner, landscape architect, lawyer, engineer and/or building contractor, realtor and/or property appraiser, interested residents of city historic districts; and Brevard County Historic Preservation Commission. The Board shall prepare, update, and maintain an appropriate plan of protection for the historic sites and districts in the City. Municipal Code Enforcement Board – One Regular Member and Two Alternate Members
This seven-member board includes, whenever possible, an architect, a businessman, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. It is an administrative board that has the authority to impose fines and other non-criminal penalties to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective, and inexpensive method of endorsing City Codes. It meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 2 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber, 555 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL.
Planning and Zoning Commission – One Regular Member and One Alternate Member
There are seven regular members and two alternate members appointed by the City Council on this Commission which serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters relating to the Comprehensive Plan and is responsible for reviewing zoning changes and plans for all phases of community improvement. It meets twice a month on a Wednesday, the week prior to the City Council meetings at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber, 555 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, Florida.
Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization Citizen’s Advisory Committee – One Member
The function of the Citizens Advisory Committee is to conduct public information programs on the activity of Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, to provide citizens’ views of the findings and recommendations of the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, and to provide comment and recommendations to the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization Governing Board on Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization plans referred to the Committee, including but not limited to the Long Range Transportation Plan and the Unified Planning Work Program.
Titusville Environmental Commission – One Alternate Member
This seven regular and two alternate member board’s primary responsibility is to study general environmental conditions in and surrounding the City and to make recommendations to the City Council regarding the environmental effects of existing conditions, future public and private projects and subjects of environmental concern or interest. It meets once a month on a Wednesday, the week following the first Planning & Zoning Commission meeting at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber, 555 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL.
