Sexual Predator Arrested

Titusville Police Detectives have arrested a registered sexual predator who is suspected of committing another sex crime.
On Monday January 2nd 2017, officers responded to a report of an attempted sexual battery and extortion of an adult female victim.  
The investigation has led to the arrest of Russell Steven Rowe, 41, of Cocoa, on Tuesday January 3rd 2017 at approximately 8:40 PM. Rowe is charged with Attempted Sexual Battery and Extortion.
Rowe is a registered sexual predator with an extensive criminal history and multiple felony convictions.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that Russell Rowe used the screen name “Rob Spence” on social media sites.  
Rowe is being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
