The City of Titusville, Florida / Police / NewsArrest in Armed Robbery Titusville Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Ice House Foods Restaurant Armed Robbery that occurred on Monday December 19th 2016.
At approximately 9:30 PM that evening, at least two suspects, one of which was armed with a firearm, entered the back door of the restaurant, located at 2850 South Washington Avenue, forced the employees into a walk in freezer and stole money from the business office.
Even though video surveillance footage showed the suspect had concealed his identity by covering his face and wearing long sleeved clothing, Titusville Police Detectives where able to vigilantly follow up on multiple leads which resulted in the arrested of Andrew Allen Leighton, 31, of Titusville, at approximately 9:30 AM on Friday December 23rd 2016.
Leighton was charged with Robbery with a Firearm and is currently being held at the Brevard County jail without bond.
Detectives are still searching for at least two more suspects in connection with the Ice House Foods Restaurant Armed Robbery, one of which is suspected of pistol whipping an employee and the other is suspected of driving the getaway vehicle, described possibly as a small silver SUV.
