Brevard Triad and Titusville Police Bring Christmas Cheer to Local Seniors

2016
2016 Senior Santa Packing Team

Brevard County Triad and the Titusville Police Department’s North Brevard Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) volunteers collected and delivered holiday gifts for approximately 300 local senior residents on Wednesday December 14th 2016.

Christmas is the season of giving and for the past 17 years, Titusville seniors were surprised with the delivery of gifts donated by the community. The “Senior Santa” program was sponsored by Brevard County Triad and coordinated this special holiday giving event for local seniors in need or alone for the holidays.

Senior wishing trees, decorated with individual paper Santa wish lists, were displayed at the Titusville Police Department and Parrish Senior Solution Center. Wishes were taken and fulfilled by generous collogues, friends and families within the community.

Several local Titusville businesses also adopted seniors, who perhaps did not have the family or means to purchase gifts for themselves

All gifts were gathered and packaged with each senior’s individual wish. Volunteers delivered the gifts to residents at several North Brevard Senior living facilities.

“We are tremendously thankful for the generosity of our local businesses and citizens”, said North Brevard S.A.L.T. Senior Santa coordinator, Angie Spangler”. “It is heartfelt to see so many people come together and remember our seniors during this wonderful time of year”, added Spangler.
