CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

Police Investigating Shots Fired into an Occupied Vehicle

Titusville Police responded to reports of gunshots fired into an occupied vehicle in the 4400 block of Shaw Avenue at approximately 12:45 PM on December 3rd 2016.
 
The preliminary investigation has revealed that shots were fired into a vehicle by a pedestrian and that the vehicle subsequently crashed into a home on Shaw Avenue.
 
The driver and pedestrian fled the scene before police arrived.
 
Investigators believe that this is an isolated dispute between the pedestrian and driver.
  
Investigators are processing the scene and following up on all leads in the case.
 
This is an active ongoing investigation.
