|Description: ||ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:|
This is technical work in support of fleet, tools, equipment, facilities, inventory control, procurement and the work order system within the Field Operations Division. Maintains the work order process, customer service and the central receiving and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment for the division. Duties include coordinating and planning vehicle maintenance, loaning out vehicles, tools, and equipment, and creating, closing and processing of work orders for the division and assisting the Meter Technology Coordinator in performing uploads/downloads and other duties within the meter technology group. Work is performed under the general supervision of Field Operations Assistant Superintendent.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent diploma and three years of increasingly responsible administrative and logistical support services procurement experience. AA degree in Business or General Education is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Must possess a DEP Level III Water Distribution License within one year from date of hire. Possession of a valid Florida Commercial Class “B” driver's license. Subject to 24-hour on-call status.
Must be able to sit for extended period of time. Visual ability required. Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting required when filing. Must be able to speak clearly in normal tones and have hearing correctable to normal ranges in order to effectively communicate verbally in person and on the telephone, with the public, and with co-workers. Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting required when stocking and/or transporting materials/equipment. Ability to climb stepping stool as needed and ability to lift up to 50 pounds and unpack supply shipments upon delivery.
During occasions of local emergencies this position may be required to report to perform emergency tasks, which may result in extended work hours as well as extended periods of time away from family members. The Incident Commander and the employee’s department Head will make the determination as to who will be required to work.
