Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This is a supervisory position in the Stormwater Division of the Water Resources Department with the responsibility for planning, scheduling, developing and directing the activities of personnel engaged in the construction, maintenance, and repair of Stormwater management systems.  Incumbent works under the general direction of the Stormwater Administrator, is expected to anticipate work assignments, exercises independent judgment and makes decisions within the position’s scope of responsibility. Assignments are received orally and in writing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and three (3) to five (5) years progressive responsible experience in construction and/or maintenance of storm drainage or similar public works projects. Must include one year of supervisory experience. A combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. 

PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Possession of a valid Florida Commercial driver’s license and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification within one year of employment.   Must possess or obtain a Class “B” Stormwater System Operator Certificate within two years of employment. A Class “A” certificate is preferred. Proficient knowledge of computer and software applications, i.e., word-processing, spreadsheets, report preparation, and project tracking. Subject to 24-hour on-call status.
