Municipal Code Enforcement Board

The Code Enforcement Board consists of seven (7) regular members and two (2) alternate members. The seven (7) regular members include, whenever possible, an architect, a businessman, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. The two (2) alternate members may be appointed from the citizenship at large. Members must be a registered voter and resident of the City for a least one year. 

Members are appointed by City Council to three-year terms. 

It is an administrative board that has the authority to impose fines and other non-criminal penalties to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective, and inexpensive method of endorsing City Codes.

The Board meets the second Monday of the month at 2 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber, 555 South Washington Avenue.
