Municipal Code Enforcement Board
This seven-member board includes, whenever possible, an architect, a businessman, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Members are appointed by City Council to three-year terms.
It is an administrative board that has the authority to impose fines and other non-criminal penalties to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective, and inexpensive method of endorsing City Codes.
The Board meets the Second Monday of the month at 2 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chamber, 555 South Washington Avenue.
The Code Enforcement Division of the Planning and Growth Management Department serves as staff liaison to the Board and can be reached at (321) 383-5796.
